Example
If a group-stage pick is correct and the locked odds are 2.40, the score is 3 x 2.40 = 7.2 points. In the Round of 32, a correct 2.40 pick is 3 x 2 x 2.40 = 14.4 points. If a joker is used on a group-stage match, the result is doubled.
WC2026 Predictor uses a round-based scoring model. Correct 1/X/2 picks earn base points multiplied by the round multiplier, and when odds are available those points are multiplied by the locked odds value.
| Round | Base points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Group stage | 3 | Two jokers can be used during the group stage. |
| Round of 32 | 6 | Knockout matches begin to carry more weight. |
| Round of 16 | 9 | Correct picks become more valuable as the field narrows. |
| Quarterfinals | 12 | Late-tournament judgement starts to matter more. |
| Semifinals | 15 | Only four teams remain, so every pick can swing a league. |
| Final | 18 | The final has the highest base match score. |

Knockout matches also have a To Qualify pick for the team that advances after extra time or penalties. A correct To Qualify pick is worth 5 points.
Tournament Champion is worth 15 x locked winner odds, capped at 300 points. Golden Boot is worth 15 x locked scorer odds, capped at 300 points.
Automated results and score values can occasionally need review. Important corrections should be handled transparently so players can understand why a score changed.
